Baia dei Turchi

A crescent of fine sand in the pine forest, within the Alimini Lakes protected oasis. The name recalls the Ottoman landing of 1480, just before the siege of Otranto.

From land it’s one of the busiest beaches in Salento: car parks, a path through the pines, summer concessions. From the sea you skip all that — the white sand appears between the rocks.

Clear water and a sandy seabed: an easy stop for families too. Last stop on the three-hour North tour, before heading back to the harbour.
